Ms. Carla joined Mission Montessori in 2019 and brings a rich blend of experience, warmth, and bilingual instruction to our school community. As our bilingual primary lead teacher, she thoughtfully integrates both Spanish and English into the classroom through immersive, meaningful language experiences that support natural language development in young children. 

Carla earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development from Normal Colegio Ensenada University and holds her AMS Montessori Diploma from Centro de Enseñanza Montessori Training Center in Tijuana, B.C. With over 20 years of experience working with preschool and kindergarten-aged children, Carla is deeply passionate about early childhood education. 

She discovered Montessori while seeking new ways to meet the diverse needs of her young students and was instantly drawn to its child-centered approach. She continues to be inspired by the way children flourish—gaining knowledge and independence so naturally—within the Montessori environment. 

Outside the classroom, Carla enjoys spending time in nature, traveling throughout Mexico, listening to music, dancing, reading, and being with her husband, their three children, and extended family.
