“Of all things love is the most potent.” Maria Montessori

Sara Hooper began her Montessori journey while studying elementary education and obtaining a job assisting in a Montessori classroom. Captivated by the child-centered philosophy, she went on to earn her AMS Montessori diploma and spent five fulfilling years teaching at the primary level. Her passion for education and leadership led her to pursue administrative training, and she played a pivotal role in launching and directing two Montessori start-up schools, guiding both programs to full enrollment and operational success. 

After becoming a mother, Sara was inspired to create a school that combined authentic Montessori education with a foundation in Christian values, healthy living, and a love for gardening and incorporating clean, organic foods. In 2009, that vision became a reality when she founded Mission Montessori. Today, Sara continues to lead the school with dedication, purpose, and a deep commitment to nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. 

Outside of her work at Mission Montessori, Sara enjoys traveling around the world, exploring the outdoors, working out, playing pickleball, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
