Nurturing Montessori Infant and Young Toddler Care in Mission Viejo | 6–24 Months Infant

Infant Program (6-24 months)
At Mission Montessori, we understand that infancy is a time of extraordinary growth and development. Our Infant and Young Toddler Program is thoughtfully designed to nurture the body, mind, and spirit of each child in a peaceful, loving environment.

From a very young age, children begin building the foundation for independence, trust, and a lifelong love of learning. In our Montessori infant environment, every aspect—from the soft lighting and natural materials to the predictable routine and gentle teacher guidance— is prepared with care to support your baby’s sense of security and curiosity.

A Home Away from Home
Our warm, cozy classroom is a calm and beautiful space where your baby will be held, spoken to, and responded to with tenderness and respect. Teachers follow each child’s natural rhythms for feeding, napping, and play, ensuring that individual needs are met with consistency and compassion. Infants remain on their own individualized schedules until they show readiness for a more consistent group routine, allowing them to transition gently and confidently at their own pace.

With low adult-to-child ratios, your child will receive individualized attention and genuine affection throughout the day. We see each baby as a unique and capable individual and work to foster early bonds of trust and connection.

Montessori in the Earliest Years
Our infant and young toddler guides meet the needs of each child through rich sensory experiences, purposeful movement, and language exposure. The environment encourages safe exploration and development of motor skills, coordination, and independence—at each child’s own pace.

Your child’s daily activities may include:

  • Tummy time and movement on floor mats
  • Reaching, grasping, and manipulating developmentally appropriate materials
  • Language-rich interactions including songs, stories, and sign language
  • Outdoor time for fresh air and sensory discovery
  • Gentle care rituals such as diapering and feeding that are conducted with respect
  • and presence

Communication and Care
We partner closely with families, keeping you informed and involved through regular updates, photos, and meaningful conversations. Transparent Classroom, our Montessori record-keeping software, allows you to follow your child’s daily care and developmental milestones through photos and digital reports.

We provide organic meals and snacks (when age-appropriate), with accommodations for individual dietary needs. Our Christian foundation is reflected in the loving care and values we model, and we aim to nurture each child’s whole self—heart, mind, and soul.

A Gentle Start to a Lifelong Journey
We consider it an honor to care for your child during this precious stage of life. At Mission Montessori, your infant or young toddler will be welcomed into a peaceful, secure environment where love, trust, and learning blossom each day.

"The greatness of the human personality begins at the hour of birth."
