Melina has been dedicated to Montessori education since 2006, primarily serving as a lead Montessori 3-6 teacher in San Diego and New York City. She holds an AMS Early Childhood credential and is also trained in MACAR (Montessori Applied to Children At Risk), supporting children with learning differences and exceptionalities.

This school year, Melina embraced a new chapter by stepping out of the classroom and into the dual role of Office Manager and Chef at Mission Montessori. In this position, she enjoys nurturing the school community in new and creative ways, especially through her love of healthy cooking.

Melina is passionate about peace education and creating spaces where children can learn about our diverse planet and how to care for it and each other. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, crafting, and spending time with her dog, Chula.
